Rosalia
Rosalia Vila also known as Rosalia (Spanish for "Rosalia") is a Spanish pop and flamenco singer. Her work has been in the margins of both traditional and popular music since her teenage years, she is also involved in other genres such as hip-hop soul and trap. Her voice has been said by no less talented than Flamenco guitar player Pepe Habichuela as sharp and sweet however with a bit of bite similar to the old ones. El Mal Querer, her sequel album to Los Angeles in 2017, has been a huge critical as well as commercial hit. It topped Billboard's Latin Pop Albums Chart and was awarded a Grammy. The track La Fama featuring the Weeknd was released in 2021. Her third long-player Motomami featured songwriting collaborations with many artists and producers such as Cory Henry and James Blake. The album was released on the 20th of March, 2022 in the wake of the live performance of Chicken Teriyaki by Saturday Night Live. Rosalia became the first Spanish singer to perform solo on the program. Rosala from Motomami who was awarded The Latin Album of the Year and 3 Latin Grammy Awards in total for Motomami also became the very first woman in history to be awarded this award.
