Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig in September 21, 1983. She is an American Actress best known as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. Maggie Grace is originally from Worthington in Ohio, dropped out high school in order to move into Los Angeles after her divorced parents divorced. Her first role came to her as Rachel's Room's lead character in 2001, despite having a difficult time financially. The film for television Murder in Greenwich where she played a 15-year-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination of a Young Artist Award. As a part of the Gyllenhaal Family, she's the daughter and older sister of the actor Jake Gyllenhaal. The career of her mother began when she was an early teenager, when she appeared in small parts in a few films directed from her father. She also worked with her brother in 2001's popular movie Donnie Darko. Her subsequent roles included Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, both 2002 and Mona Lisa Smile (2003).
