MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He is a major player within his part of the Latin mainstream. The 2016 smash Una Lady Como Tu was winner of the Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in 2017. In Medellin in 2017, Sony's La Industria Inc. released ADN his debut long player. The album peaked at the rank of eighteen in the Top Latin Albums charts. In the following year, he teamed up with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca which reached number five on the Top Latin Albums chart. The group released Dopamina which was his top charting sophomore album in the following year. In 2021, he performed in a duo with TINI for her hit online song Maldita Foto. In 2023, 2000 with the hit song La Bachata was released. Turizo is a renowned musician, born into a musical family. His parents and brothers were also musicians. According to Turizo, music was a mandatory part of his life. He learned how to play guitar, saxophone the ukulele and piano when he was a young child. Though his original career plan was becoming an animal veterinarian but his brother Julian convinced him to try learning to sing with the Cuban. This transformed his life forever.
